This treatment consists of carrying out an in vitro fertilization with eggs from a donor and sperm from the couple or from a donor, according to the case, transferring the embryo to the recipient woman.<\/p>\n

Egg donation in Spain is totally anonymous. This means that neither the woman who donates her eggs will know the identity of the woman who receives them and vice versa. A basic health study is carried out, with general analyses; serological tests to rule out infectious diseases (HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C); a karyotype to ensure that there are no chromosomal abnormalities; and a genetic study of carriers of recessive diseases.<\/p>\n

How treatment technique;egg donation<\/strong> is performed?<\/span><\/h3>

<\/div>[vc_column_text]Both the donor and the recipient will receive a coordinated treatment.<\/p>\n

The donor will receive an ovarian stimulation treatment of approximately 10 days in order to obtain the necessary eggs. Meanwhile, the recipient will receive a treatment that consists of preparing the uterus to receive the embryo or embryos in the best conditions.<\/p>\n

After stimulating the donor, the eggs are extracted and fertilized on the same day, either with the partner’s sperm or with donor sperm, according to the case.<\/p>\n

After a few days in culture, the embryos are classified according to their quality and one or two are transferred into the uterus.<\/p>\n

Embryos of good quality that have not been transferred will be vitrified (frozen) in liquid nitrogen for future use.[\/vc_column_text]
