In some cases, the patient has been diagnosed with a disease that requires treatment with some aggressive therapy that can seriously damage the quality of her oocytes, such as chemotherapy or radiotherapy.<\/p>\n

In both cases, the woman undergoes the first part of an ICSI-IVF treatment, which consists of ovarian stimulation to induce the growth of a greater number of follicles in the ovaries.
